The Bay River Commons is owned
and operated by Oakwood Investment, LLC. Our firm
started out with a simple mission: to clean up the
dilapidated property across the street from the park and the
marina, and build new upscale homes to improve the overall
quality and appearance of Bayboro. The project was
long and arduous, but after two years, we successfully
managed to clean up and improve the site. After three
homes were built, we decided to change our plans, and build
a new luxury retail building with views of the park, marina,
and most importantly, the Bay River.
We spent nearly two additional
years drawing plans, improving the site, and constructing
the building. When the building was completed in 2007,
the residents and local officials of Bayboro came out to
celebrate our ribbon cutting event. We were met with
the press, county officials, and other dignitaries, who
congratulated us on a job well done. The residents
could not believe how drastically the site had improved, and
how beautiful the views are.
Now that the road improvements
are finished, we are seeing an overwhelming amount of
vehicle and foot traffic. Not to mention that during the
warmer weather months, we get some individuals dock their
boats in the rear of the building! If you are in the
area, we recommend you walk around the Bay River, and admire
its beauty and tranquility. Bring a boat and fishing
pole if you truly want to enjoy the river at is finest.
